This personal, anti-narrative video loop combines a virtual tropical environment with personal videos from 2000, 2022 and a psychic reading I had in 2011. In collecting, extracting, selecting and reconstructing the different material, I am exploring a multi-layered interpretation of coexistence as human amongst environment. Exploring fragmented perceptions or possibilities of a memory, the loss of a memory, the unlearning or such. The Life of Plants inspired a way of thinking through the lens of non-human as photosynthesis and the breath of the plant literally creates its world. The breath does not adapt to the world, but it generates the world it needs to survive. If I could imagine my breath as the world I create, what world would it be? Which memories would I have? Would it resemble my algorithm? Would we have algorithms if everyone existed so? Language is but a constructed idea into sound and meaning. Taking the song Noche de tu partida and interweaving the lyrics with quotes from The Life of Plants is a play on the culture I come from, the ego-centric self pity and drama of heartbreak in the song is interuppted with a moment that retracts one from this self-centered state of mind. Yet still, you’re going to leave me. The world I knew is leaving me. In air of Climate Anxiety Eco Anxiety and the like,  what can I do? Where do I find sollace?
